Arriving by Air and Sea

Whether you land at Tortola (EIS) or Virgin Gorda (VIJ), your journey concludes with a short trip across the water. From Tortola, choose between a direct premium transfer via Nimbus Air or take a taxi to Gun Creek to catch the Bitter End Ferry. For those landing at VIJ, a quick cab ride to Gun Creek will bring you to our ferry launch for the final 10-minute crossing to the property. A chilled towel, a cool drink, and a warm island welcome are waiting at the dock. To guarantee a breezy arrival, please share your flight details with us at least two weeks in advance so we can arrange your transfer.

Bitter End Ferry from Gun Creek

Seamlessly transition from land to sea with our dedicated ferry service. For those landing at Virgin Gorda (VIJ), a quick 15-minute cab ride to Gun Creek brings you to our ferry launch for the final 7 to 10-minute crossing to the property. Our ferries run daily to make island hopping effortless, with convenient departures throughout the day and late-night crossings available by captain’s call.

You can reach Bitter End by public ferry from Trellis Bay to Spanish Town, Virgin Gorda, private boat charter from St. Thomas, or water taxi service.

Public ferry service is available from Trellis Bay to Spanish Town, Virgin Gorda (30 minutes). Once you’ve arrived, we will arrange a taxi pick-up to take you to Gun Creek (15 minutes), where you will then take our complimentary ferry to Bitter End (7 minutes).

Booking Flights

Major carriers to the region include American, Delta, United, Continental, Jet Blue, Air Canada and Norwegian Air. Flights can be connected with inter-island flights or ferries, as listed below. While flying into Tortola is the most direct route, flights to St. Thomas and San Juan with connectors are also great choices. Our guests travel to Bitter End via St. Thomas, St. Martin, Antigua, and San Juan.
