With Lasers (full rig and radial), 420s, Optis, and other high performance beach boats in our watersports fleet, a Pro Am partnership with LaserPerformance made great sense. After all, Sunday Laser Regattas at Bitter End Yacht Club are second nature to us. Expect to see a return of Sunfish, Picos, and the addition of Bugs to what’s already the world’s biggest resort fleet.
Treasury Wine Estates (distributed by TICO) provides the libations for the week, including Penfolds, Stag’s Leap, Beringer, and Greg Norman, including a guest favorite, the wine dinner on Wednesday evening.
As in years past, Yacht Shots BVI will again be out on the water daily, shooting fantastic photography of the Pro Am Regatta. And when they are not shooting race photography, they shoot family portraits, honeymoon couples, people on cruising yachts, and people having a lot of fun on vacation. If you can’t make it to the Pro Am this year, check out their web site for photography of all the action, and all the fun.
Presented by TICO; Highland Spring water is the official water of Bitter End. In addition to keeping guests hydrated during events, there will also be great gifts and prizes from Highland Spring.
The Pro Am Regatta welcomes new sponsor Regatta Ginger Beer. Ideal to drink on its own, or for mixing with a variety of spirits and beverages. According to RGB representatives, it’s “understated British elegance coupled with exotic island flavors. Regatta Ginger Beer is a unique blend of ginger roots from the Caribbean and Africa. It’s quite a brilliant taste if we do say ourselves.” We are looking forward to challenging guests to come up with interesting and tasty ways to serve our newest Pro Am addition.
For those who like practical trophies, Soundview Millworks produces awesome nautical cutting boards, coasters, and other hand-crafted and laser-etched functional wood products. 
This will be the 22nd year of Mount Gay Rum’s involvement (through their local distributor RoadTown Wholesale). Mount Gay’s tradition of support for spirited competition among sailors is world renowned, and their contribution is obvious—great rum, and of course, the legendary red hats. Also, be on the lookout for libations from Heineken (also provided by RoadTown Wholesale).
The Pro Am Regatta is happy to announce the addition of Gill to our illustrious list of sponsors, as the official weathergear, and presenter of the Sportsmanship Prizes. Gill gear is famous the world ‘round for being both sporty, and practical in just about every environment. As Gill says, “Respect the Elements.”
Windward Productions, marketers of Sharon Green’s Ultimate Sailing Calendar, have been sponsoring the Pro Am Regatta throughout its 24-year history. As always, they provide great calendars to 50 lucky winners at the awards dinner.
Team shirts are an important part of the Pro Am Regatta, and long-time Bitter End partner RailRiders Adventurewear will be providing the on-the-water gear.
Sailingscuttlebutt.com has been with us for a number of years, providing none other than the Curmudgeon himself, Tom Leweck. And of course, sailingscuttlebutt.com helps us spread the word about the event as a media sponsor. Attendance at the Pro Am garners one immediate honorary membership in the Scuttlebutt Sailing Club, the first virtual (internet) Yacht/Sailing Club.
