Both expert and novice can enjoy the use of the fleet. Our friendly watersports staff will help you with rigging and give you directions for a safe and enjoyable sail. The protected waters of North Sound are ideal for small boat sailing, windsurfing, even fishing with a Boston Whaler. Refresh your skills or get acquainted with this great watersport in the Introduction to Sailing Course, complimentary with most stays.
 Hobie Wave
The Hobie Wave is the ideal boat for beginners, families and kids, and when the wind picks up, seasoned vets will enjoy skimming across North Sound.
Hobie Getaway
This performance catamaran can accommodate 2-6 sailors, and comes complete with a trampoline up front.
Vanguard 15
This powerful dinghy requires two experienced crew will get up on a plane and zoom off at 15 knots.
Laser
These powerful boats offer a true challenge to the most skilled sailor, and require only one person aboard. Friendly Laser class racing takes place on every Sunday morning against fellow guests.
 Barnett 1400
The Barnett 1400 is a 14 foot sailboat designed with the novice in mind. This comfortable boat carries two adults in style, is very stable, and can peel out with the best of them. It bridges the gap between our Rhodes 19 keelboat or Hunter 216 and the smaller boats such as the Laser and the Vanguard 15.
Rhodes 19
The Rhodes 19s require only one experienced sailor – the rest can go along for the ride in one of these stable keelboats. They are ideal for one or two couples exploring the Sound, on an afternoon sail.
Hunter 216
With its large cockpit and simple controls, novices will learn the joys of sailing quickly and easily aboard a Hunter 216. But never fear: the 216s provide thrills commensurate with their sportboat heritage. We use the Hunter 216 not only in our Sunday Regattas, but also during the world famous Pro Am Regatta, as well as during most of our annual special events.
IC-24
The undisputed standard for performance keelboats, IC-24s (left) require at least two experienced sailors, but four or five will be comfortable aboard. During Pro Am 2006, these boat proved to be exciting racers, for the guests and pros alike.
Vanguard Pram and Club 420, BIC O'Pen, Optimist Sailing Dinghy
These nifty little boats are simple to handle, stable, and easy to sail right off the beach. They're lively fun for juniors, seniors, beginners and experts alike.
The Junior Summer Sailing Course at the Bitter End Sailing School uses these boats.

Boston Whalers
These great little 11 foot motorboats with are perfect for picnicking, exploring secluded beaches, snorkeling, and fishing around the north end of the resort on our own flats.
Kayaks
Great for kids and families, our sea kayaks are for one or two. Pick up a picnic lunch from the Watersports Center and take off for the day, exploring the coastline and many small islands that ring the North Sound.
Hobie Pursuit Single Kayak
Ideal for exploring the pristine waters and beach of the greater North Sound area. Features a storage locker and built-in cup holder.
Hobie Odyssey Double Kayak
Plenty of room for two parents and a child in between, and features internal storage
Hobie Mirage Pedal/Padddle Kayak
This unique craft features an innovative pedal system that can be removed for paddling. Great leg exercise, or try the upper and lower body combined workout-our staff can show you how.
Hobie Mirage Tandem Kayak
All the features of the single Mirage, but with twice the power.
Windsurfing
The windsurfing gear in the Club fleet includes Aerotech Dacron sails great for kids, beginners and intermediate sailors. Beginners and Intermediates will enjoy the Hi Fly Primo Wide Style boards, recognized as the standard in the teaching industry. We also have a variety of Mistral boards for intermediate sailors.
