AH Riise BVI Billfish Tournament

No fish tales are necessary when it comes to billfishing in the BVI. In its inaugural year, 35 marlin were hooked over the course of three days by the 20 boats carrying competitors from as far away as Texas.
The fishing takes place at the North Drop, in an area ranging just 13-30 miles from Bitter End. Competitors take off early each morning, fish all day and return to the resort for virtual weigh in -- because it is a catch and release tournament, the fish stas are recorded at sea -- and evenings of relaxing social events.
In addition to great prizes from event sponsors, the winning boat will receive an invitation to the World Billfish Series Championships and the San Juan Invitational. Proceeds from the event support local charitable organizations that benefit families of the Virgin Islands in need.
