Unlike the rest of the islands in the BVI, that were all once part of a
great underwater mountain range formed by volcanoes, Anegada is a flat
coral and limestone atoll. It's barely visible on the horizon until
you've basically arrived, and that contributes to the great snorkeling
-- over 300 boats have wrecked along Anegada's coast over the years,
providing underwater foundations for coral growth and fish hideouts.
That combined with the warm flow of water from the western Atlantic,
ringed by beautiful white sand beaches, with great snorkeling just off
Horseshoe Reef. On your Anegada trip, you'll lunch at a quaint
fisherman's restaurant.
