April's Service Stars
Palus Bacchus- Palus has been working for BEYC for about 21years, by his own recollection. He started working for the Grounds Crew and was known to be the best man with a machete, for miles around. This would foreshadow his future career shift: Currently Palus is the Head Butcher for Bitter End, preparing all the meats for our famous West Indian BBQ and Seafood Buffet, as well as the staff cafeteria, as well as the ever-popular barbecues aboard Corinthian. Palus has transformed the “Fish House” into one of the most organized and clean butcher facilities in the Caribbean. The dedication and attention to detail that Palus provides for the guests, is obvious to all. He is often asked for the secret of his ribs and grilled meats, and he may even provide you with a clue, but he keeps the real secret ingredients to  close to his hear. As he says...."if they like it so much, and can only find it with us...they will be back!"

Debbie Mondesir- Debbie is our proudest addition yet to Guest Services. Having joined the Bitter End Family in December 2009, she has excelled greatly! Not only does she "know her way" around Guest Services, but the Quarter Deck as well--her secondary job, where if she is not directing boats for dockage on the VHF radio, she is helping to "tie-up" boats to the slips. No stranger to the BVI, Debbie was born here but spent her formative years in St. Lucia. Now home at last, Debbie has chosen the Bitter End for her hospitality career. With a pleasant, willing and gregarious attitude, Debbie welcomes each and every guest effortlessly. When not at work, Debbie is at home enjoying hertwo beautiful kids or practicing her "pipes" for her big dream on American Idol! Go Debbie!

Daryl George- A native of Virgin Gorda, Daryl joined Team Bitter End in October 2008 as a first mate for the North Sound Express operation. Dependable, charismatic, indomitable and hardworking are just a few words that describe Daryl. He possesses a passion for boats and loves being on the sea. In April 2010, Daryl successfully met the requirements outlined by the Virgin Islands Government to be termed a licensed captain. So these days, Daryl faces the challenge of safely navigating both guests and his fellow teammates to and from Gun Creek, and he does it smoothly and without breaking a sweat. His personality and work ethic is the epitome of professionalism, and we are proud to have him on our team.

Juliana Asson (camera shy!)- A native of St. Lucia, Juliana has been working with the Bitter End Yacht Club for more than a decade. She started working  as an assistant to the head of the accounts payable department. From there she moved on to become the head of the department.  Juliana, a very focused and motivated individual, demonstrates each day, in many ways, that she is dependable and does what it takes to get the job done. She always looks for more efficient ways to accomplish her work and further herself; as an avid learner, she recently received her degree in Finance from the University of Phoenix. She is an asset to the team!
