Their managers have summed up our super Stars (from left to right):
Ms. Magdaline Shillingford: For over 25 years at the Bitter End, be it from her humble beginnings in the Emporium to her current position as Front Desk Supervisor, “Eva” as she affectionately known, has truly personified stellar qualities…Efficiency, Vibrancy and Accuracy (EVA). It would be safe to stay that Eva is woven in the very fabric of Bitter End’s life and vice versa. She remembers by name nearly all of our repeat guests, who are always happy to see her welcoming smile that lights up her entire face. This is Eva! She is always looking out to make the guests' stays more memorable. Such essence is why she is a standout not only to our guests, but our staff as well!
Mr. John George: John has been employed with the Bitter End Yacht Club for the past 20 years as Paymaster. He is phenomenal in his duties, a positive role model and posseses a wealth of knowledge. Because of his outstanding personality, he is well loved and respected by his peers, managers and those guests he encounters while playing in his famous reggae band The Latitude Stars. John is no stranger to accolades, he has won several awards as an outstanding staff member, including Employee of The Year in the past and now July Service Star. Next to his family, music is John’s passion. John has a beautiful wife Natalie and two daughters; he also has his own music studio in North Sound. John is a man of many talents and will undoubtedly more recognition for his efforts in the future.
Ms. Cassandra Charles: Cassandra has been with the Bitter End Yacht Club for the past 7 years and has shown that she is an undeniable force, with her customer service expertise and endearing smile. Cassandra is truly a face of the Bitter End as she is usually the first person guests encounter before their journey on the North Sound Express to the resort. Cassandra hails from the beautiful island of Dominica but has made herself at home within the BEYC family, effervescent and very personable, Cassandra’s smile and laughter can brighten any long day's journey and reassures travelers of what is to come when guests arrive at the Bitter End. We expect more great things from Cassandra as she continues to do what she does best.
Mr. Jeremiah Leslie (too shy for the camera!): “Jerry” as he is affectionately known, in his capacity as a Steward for the Food & Beverage Department, is part of the backbone of the operation. He is a pillar of strength and support to his team, and is the epitome of “going above and beyond the call of duty.” His guests are his fellow coworkers, and with this knowledge, Jerry offers the most outstanding level of customer service that we see here at Bitter End. He has tremendous understanding of his role, enabling the resort team to perform their duties with his ease and grace. Jerry has worked with Bitter End for several years and has remained consistent in his undeniable, dependability, humility and positivity.
