Meet the Service Stars for May

Service Stars for May

Director of Human Resources Delores Creque has once again so wonderfully summed up our super Stars (from left to right):

Mr. James Esprit: (Jay, as he is called) There are so many positive things that come to mind about Jay, his work ethic, personality and presence at the resort. Jay is a Sailing Instructor in the Watersports Department.  Jerome, his department head has says, "Jay is always ready and willing to work and do whatever it takes to ensure that the guests have a great sailing experience and an overall memorable time at the Bitter End." In the short time Jay has been with the Bitter End he has become a great asset to the department; we are positive that this will not be the last Service Star award for Jay but the beginning of many more to come. Jay is a professional in every way, ensuring that our guests get the best training when learning to sail, including all safety skills to perform the sport in a safe and fun way.

Ms. Beulah Samuel: Anyone who has had the pleasure of dining in our Clubhouse Seafood Bar & Grille has undoubtedly came across the beautiful and welcoming smile of its Day Hostess, Beulah. Working at the Bitter End since 1986, Beulah has become synonymous with "going the extra mile" as she is always happy to assist guests with their every need. Her attention to detail is amazing as she always remembers her returning guests, even those who have not visited for years; she is the epitome of consistency. Beulah is no stranger to accolades: She won Employee of the Year 1991, and is constantly mentioned in guests' comment cards for her effervescent demeanor.

Mr. St.Clair Phillip: "Shadow," as he is affectionately known, has been working at the Bitter End since 2001 as a Marine Technician. Shadow always has a warm smile and a friendly "hello" to staff and guests alike. No matter how much on the go he is, Shadow always finds time to have a friendly chat with passersby who stop him for assistance. It is hard to find a first rate mechanic with hospitality expertise as well, and Shadow has this. Although "Shadow" has a quiet personality he can be seen conversing with our guests regularly and showcasing his handiwork: Engines.

Mrs. Sonia Caul (not pictured): Sonia is perhaps one of the most quiet people anyone will ever come across at the Bitter End, yet her work speaks volumes. Sonia works as a Laundry Assistant in our Housekeeping department and has been with the Bitter End since 2000.
No task is ever too hard for Sonia to handle. She goes about her daily tasks with a smile and works hard. Sonia is well liked and respected by her peers and superiors for her willingness to perform her duties and for her level of exemplary service to the overall resort.  She represents the Housekeeping and Laundry Department well and sets an example for all the resort employees.
